This is Rikuna, a character of mine on Leopets (Mutant Draik right now, but soon to be Royalgirl)! I've had her for a while, but never got 'round to finishing her petpage due to laziness. But lately, I've decided to put an end to that and get off (or on, in this case) my lazy butt and start it all from scratch! 8D And I just chose the PERFECT time to start, too, you know! What with exams coming up in a few weeks... >_>;

Desert Flower what?
I called this picture "Desert Flower" because I believe that this term describes Rikuna perfectly. Desert flowers are pretty, but are also very strong and persistant because they have to live in such a harsh environment. And that, my friends, explains most of who Rikuna is all on its own!

Brief History
Ever since she can remember, Rikuna belonged to a "school" of children without parents. There were only twenty of them, all around the same age, with three teachers. The teachers majored in academics, attack, and defense. Academics wasn't too important to this odd school in the middle of the desert.

Each child had their own "element" of study. Animals, water, earth, and sky are just some examples. Rikuna's "element" was rain, and it became such an interesting topic to her that her energy began to mix into the energy rain produced. It never rained much at the school, of course, but whenever it did, Rikuna would sit outside by herself the whole time.

One day, when Rikuna was thirteen, the school was spontaneously attacked by bandits. Rikuna was upset, and it began to rain. When she realised the bandits had killed her friends, she grew angry, and lightning struck every bandit dead.

Rikuna was on her own for a week before she was found by two wonderers from Reeha City, who discovered that she had special powers with rain and took her back to their city. There, she was worshipped like a princess. It was at that time that she aquired all the pretty little jewels threaded in her hair and such. =B

She lived in Reeha City for five years, where she strengthened her powers with the rain. Reeha City had never been more prosperous, with all the rain that visited. Eventually though, at the age of eighteen, Rikuna discovered that there were villages out there in the heat of the desert, experiencing droughts. She's a strong minded soul, but also has a soft caring center. So, she left Reeha City on the back of a camel (who I'll probably work into becoming her petpet somehow!) in search of thirsty villages in need of her power.
